The game is available digitally for early access for $19.99 on the Steam platform , with a launch discount of 40% during the first week. Purgatory Overkill is a VR shooter and a VR tower defense video game where you can build turrets and walls to help you fight endless hordes of monsters while you actively participate in the fight with loads of guns. As a member of the OverKill Unit you are to be sent to worlds where lifeforms and universal laws are very different from what you have experienced so far. Your only mission is to protect each world’s portal against the assault of its residents until the command center brings you home and deactivates it. If you fail, the command center will fall in the hands of hostile creatures which could then ravage your home, and many more. Thanks to the VR technology, you can experience your strategy skills through the Tower Defense scheme of the game while feeling the adrenaline of VR shooting at the same time. In Purgatory Overkill, you have to carefully balance both approaches to reach your goals and progress in the game. Each level to come with the early will have a different design with different enemies and sizes. Each level has a boss fight. Once you passed enough waves of enemies, you will have to face the boss. It changes for every level and each time you face it, it grows stronger.
